The Lowestoft Scores can be found within the Harbour ward, mostly connecting the High Street and Whapload Road. There are 14 Scores in total, but two of these are no longer visible; Frost Alley Score and The Score. the 12 that remain start at the Ravine in the north, and continue south to Herring Fishery Score, next to the Police Station. The scores are an important part of Lowestoft's history, as well as being a popular interest for tourists. They were used to link the High Street on top of the cliffs with the beach village that was found below.
In recent years, Waveney Valley Athletics Club has run a Scores Race, where participants race up and down all of the scores. Information about the scores race can be found on their Website.
