Angela Freakley has created some poppies to remember our fallen and especially Jean Baptiste Grassin, who is now 100 years old.
They are in the flower bed on the sea front, near the Thatch Cafe, Kirkley.
Jean Baptise Grassin, who escaped from occupied France and flew with the RAF. When he reached 100 years old, he had a street named after him in Plaisir.
