Jen Jones

A little bit about me, I have lived in Lowestoft for the past 35years, after moving here from Colchester as a small child. I am a mum of four children, and a grandmother to one. I have resided in the St Margaret’s East ward for 13years having previous lived in the Harbour and Normanston ward.

I hold a Batchelor of Arts with honours degree in social Sciences which I studied for here at East Coast College and a massive part of this degree was around politics and social policy, two of my favourite areas.

As well as holding a degree, I am also a trained mental health first aider with Mental Health, England, Additionally I am a domestic abuse champion and DASH trained as well, which sits nicely with my employment as a Domestic abuse advisor with Restitute.

I would love as Councillor to ultimately alongside the already existing Councillors help put Lowestoft on the map for the benefit of all the residents, I love helping, guiding and supporting people, something I have been doing in a voluntary capacity for several years.
