Bernie Rappensberger

Bernie RappensbergerI'm a local person, born and brought up in Pakefield and now living in the parish of Kirkley. I lived and worked away for a few years but Lowestoft was always 'home' and I regularly returned to visit friends and family. Three years ago I returned permanently and am delighted to be back! I am proud of my town, it may have had its ups and downs over the years but in my opinion the positives outnumber the negatives and there is no other place I'd rather live.

Professionally my background was originally business representation/services (Lowestoft Chamber of Commerce and Business Link) then I changed my career path across to the voluntary sector working in charities concerned with Mental Health and Community Development. Later I worked for Suffolk County Council (Children and Young Peoples Services).

I'm passionate about Lowestoft, its culture, people and history. As someone born and brought up here our local heritage, history and open spaces are very important to me.

As a new Councillor I want to see Kirkley and Lowestoft improve and prosper. I also want to support local groups and residents so please get in touch if you feel there is something I can help you with.
