The largest park in Lowestoft, Normanston Park covers 9.54ha and was purchased by Lowestoft Borough Council in the 1920s. The park now boasts a popular diner, skatepark, tennis courts, football and cricket pitches, a basketball half-court, outdoor table-tennis tables, and a children’s play area. New fitness equipment has recently been installed in the park and we are looking forward to opening this soon.
With all the sport facilities on site, it is no wonder that the park is a popular spot for people to enjoy the outdoors and get active. The park forms part of the National Cycle Network and there are suggested running and walking routes of various lengths, utilising the park’s circular pathways.
As with all of our sports and leisure activities, using the facilities at Normanston Park is free with no need to book.
