The New Statesman has named James as one of 10 people who could change the world. James Thornton and Martin Goodman between them encompass the worlds of International law, environmental action, publishing , writing and poetry. For "The New Curiosity Shop" they will be sharing their passions for "Poetry and the Planet"
Together James and Martin tell the story of "Client Earth" one of the world's most ambitious environmental organisations. It works across borders, systems and sectors, using the law to protect life on earth.
James will also be reading from "Waymarks' His most recent collection of poetry which tracks significant personal encounters with the natural world, around the globe. An Ethiopian lake, an Australian rainforest, an American desert, a Suffolk beach: the stage keeps changing, but the intent stays the same. A dialogue with birds, animals, people, plants, seas, and all the forces that threaten and churn this mix of life. Tickets £6 in advance from https://www.booksandprints.co.uk/the-new-curiosity-shop
