On Sunday the 13th May there is a Sponsored Walk at Fritton Lake in support of Parkinson's UK. As well as the sponsored walk there will be a wide range of outdoor activities such as archery, bike hire, boat hire and bushcraft.

On Tuesday the 10th July OneLife Suffolk are giving a presentation about their organisation and the work that they undertake encouraging people to live healthier lifestyles. Information about OneLife Suffolk can be found on their website.

On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd of July the Lowestoft Summer Festival is taking place on the Royal Green and the surrounding area. The event aims to promote Lowestoft and showcase local organisations, businesses and individuals whilst raising money for local charitable causes. There will be a variety of events throughout the two days including live music and displays, market and craft stalls, a James Bond concert and much more. These events offer residents a chance to learn more about the history of the town and it's buildings. A full list of events can be found on the Heritage Open Days Website, and one of the buildings open will be the Town Hall, which will be open on the 15^th and 16^th.

As well as the town paying respect to all those who have lost their lives in battle, we will commemorate 100 years since the end of WWI. The following events will take place in Lowestoft.

The Town Council is holding two information sessions for members of the public to find out more about becoming a Town Councillor. The first session will be at 11am on Friday 18^th January and the second session will be at 6pm on Monday 18^th February. The information session will cover aspects such as the roles and duties of a Councillor, the role of the Town Council, eligibility of individuals to stand as a Councillor and much more. The Town Clerk and current Town Councillors will be at both sessions and will answer any questions you may have about standing for the Town Council.
