Working with the local community to create a more sustainable future for Lowestoft

Lowestoft Town Council takes a proactive approach to sustainability, recognising the importance of environmental responsibility for the well-being of the community. Since declaring a Climate Emergency in June 2019 we established a Climate Emergency Committee to explore solutions for reducing the town’s carbon footprint and providing environmental benefits and aspire to be “net zero” by 2030.

We believe everyone has a role to play in creating a sustainable future and are committed to working collaboratively to address the challenges of climate change and ensure a healthy environment for generations to come.
