Vacancies for Councillors on Lowestoft Town Council

There are currently two vacancies on Lowestoft Town Council; one for the Pakefield Ward and one for the Kirkley Ward.

Following democratic process, the way each of these vacancies will be filled is different.

Please note the following important information:

For Pakefield Ward, the Town Council will co-opt to this vacancy at its meeting on Tuesday 24 February and written applications must be received by 5.00 pm on Friday 20 February. This is a change to the previously advertised dates. Applications which have already been submitted will automatically be considered at the February Council meeting.  More information on applying for co-option can be found on our website.

For Kirkley Ward, an election has been called and Election Services at East Suffolk Council will manage this process and the election will take place on Thursday 19 February. To make application to stand for this vacancy, you must apply to East Suffolk by Friday 23 January. You can find out more on the East Suffolk Council website.
