Lowestoft Pride Brings Colour, Community and Celebration to Sparrows Nest Gardens

Lowestoft Pride returned to Sparrows Nest Gardens on Saturday, delivering its biggest and most successful Pride celebration to date.

Residents and visitors came together for a vibrant day of diversity, inclusion and community spirit, with a packed programme of live entertainment, a spectacular fashion show, community activities, stalls and food vendors creating a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere from start to finish.

The event showcased a wide range of talented performers who kept the crowds entertained throughout the afternoon, while the fashion show proved to be one of the highlights of the day. Visitors also had the opportunity to explore a diverse range of stalls representing local organisations, charities, community groups and businesses, helping to raise awareness of the support, services and opportunities available across the area.

A variety of food and drink vendors ensured there was something for everyone, while activities throughout the gardens helped create a lively and family-friendly atmosphere enjoyed by people of all ages.

Lowestoft Pride continues to be an important opportunity to celebrate the town’s diverse communities and promote messages of inclusion, acceptance and belonging. The event brought together people from across Lowestoft and beyond, creating a positive and welcoming space where everyone could feel valued, respected and supported.

Lowestoft Town Council would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event, including the performers, stallholders, community organisations, food vendors, volunteers and council staff who worked hard behind the scenes before and during the day.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended and helped create such a positive atmosphere. The enthusiasm, kindness and community spirit shown throughout the event helped make this year’s Pride a memorable occasion for all involved.

The council has already received a great deal of positive feedback from attendees, with many praising the quality of the entertainment, the variety of stalls and activities, and the welcoming atmosphere that was evident throughout the day.

As the largest Lowestoft Pride held to date, this year’s event was a wonderful reflection of the growing support for Pride within the town and the strength of the community spirit that made the day such a success.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Lowestoft Pride such a wonderful day of celebration, friendship and pride. We look forward to welcoming you back next year. 🌈💜
