From 25th July-3rd August 2025 is #LoveParks week – a national celebration of our parks and open spaces promoted by Keep Britain Tidy.
At Lowestoft Town Council, we manage a large number of public parks and open spaces across the Town – from Kensington Gardens to Sparrows Nest Gardens, Rosedale Park to Denes Oval, Gunton Community Park to the Great Eastern Linear Park and much more in-between. Each parks has its own unique character and maintenance plan with work happening throughout the year.
This Love Parks Week, we’ll be taking the opportunity on our social media accounts to shine a light on the work that our in-house Grounds Maintenance Team does. Whether its creating new wildflower areas to improve biodiversity, preparing our sports facilities, or doing inspections on our play areas, a lot of work happens day-in-day-out throughout the year to ensure our parks can be enjoyed by everyone.
You can find out more about which parks we maintain on our dedicated parks page.
