Lowestoft Town Council is looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join its Climate and Ecological Emergency Committee as non-councillor members.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping how the Council responds to the climate and ecological challenges facing our town.

About the Role

As a non-councillor member, you will:

Contribute ideas and expertise to support the Council’s climate commitments
Help guide and develop local environmental initiatives and projects
Work collaboratively with councillors, officers, and partners
Act as a champion for sustainability within the Lowestoft community

We welcome people from all backgrounds and levels of experience. Whether you bring professional knowledge, community insight, or simply a strong passion for environmental action, your voice can make a difference.

Non-councillor members have already helped the Council to:

Declare Lowestoft an Earth Protector Town
Develop and champion plastic-free initiatives
Support the creation of environmentally-focused events
