Our bowls greens are free-to-access and can be played on by anyone during the bowls season (usually from May-September).  Lowestoft Town Council are proud to maintain two high-quality bowls greens in our town.

Kensington Gardens

Kensington Gardens is home to two beautifully maintained bowls greens and the Kensington Gardens Bowls Club.  Free equipment is available to loan from the onsite Grounds Keeper during the season for anyone wishing to play.

The bowls club is open to all and play a variety of competitive matches throughout the year.  They also host open sessions for people to learn how to play bowls.

Sparrows Nest Gardens

Tucked away in Sparrows Nest Gardens is a bowls green that plays host to the Sparrows Nest Bowls Club for competitive and friendly matches.  You are welcome to turn up with your own equipment to play when the green is not being used for match play.
