Our bulky waste collection scheme is designed to help households within the Parish of Lowestoft improve our environment and reduce fly-tipping by offering a free-to-access collection service on bulky waste items.

From Friday 1st August 2025, we will be restarting the scheme with our new contractor A1 Clearance & Recycling.

The service will run Monday to Friday every week and an answerphone service in place for out-of-hours messages.

To organise collection, Lowestoft residents should contact our appointed contractor A1 Clearance & Recycling by phone (01502 389073) or email (bulkywaste@a1clear.com) and include the subject line “Bulky Waste Scheme – Lowestoft”.

A1 Clearance may recycle some of the items collected, without collecting profit, with suitable items donated to local charity shops.

Please note that this service is only available to residents living in the parish of Lowestoft and is intended to support residents who are unable to afford the East Suffolk Council service or have no way of transporting items to the Recycling Centres.  If you are in the fortunate position where you can make your own arrangements for collection or disposal of bulky waste, please do not abuse the intentions of the scheme.  Thank you.

A map of Lowestoft Town Council parish area and wards can be found on our website.

Collections are limited to one collection per household with maximum of three small items or two large items per collection.

East Suffolk Council run their own Bulky Waste Collection Scheme.  Full details can be found on their website.
