As part of a two day fundraiser, Ruckus karate instructor and former World Champion, Kinsey Foster, is holding an all-day event, where members of the public can participate in a challenge in one of several categories, to win a trophy or be crowned the town's Top Puncher or Top Kicker. Find out how many ounces of kicks you can do on a punch bag within a given time. Further information about the categories is available through the event's Facebook page. Entry forms can be requested by emailing lowestoftkarate@gmail.com or can be picked up from Ruckus MMA Gym. Entry is £2 per adult and £1 per child, with all funds being donated to the Motor Neuron Disease Association, in memory of local foster carer Stephen Wilson, who passed away from MND on 30 June 2019. Stephen's widow Lisa is part of the fundraising team.

Karate Instructor Kinsey Foster is having her waist-long hair cut off, followed by a total head shave, to raise funds for Motor Neuron Disease. The hair will be sent to the Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for children. This is in honour of her friend, Steve Wilson, a local foster carer, who passed away from MND on 30 June 2019.
