Sue Barnard

It is my opinion that the Lowestoft Town Council offers this town the opportunity to have its own voice to speak up for townsfolk of Lowestoft.

I was born in Lowestoft and have lived in the town most of my life. I would love to see the town grow in prosperity and have better infrastructure e.g. the third crossing.

As a long term resident of Gunton, I value the opportunity to represent my community. I am especially interested in working with others to forge a greater community spirit in Gunton and would like to hear your opinions about how this can be developed.

Additionally, I am very interested in maintaining open spaces for the residents of Gunton and Lowestoft. We are fortunate to have different natural environments in this ward, e.g. Gunton and Foxburrow woods with the green belt areas that link them to form a round walk, the Gunton Heath, now managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust, the north beach and the North Denes. It has been shown that open spaces have positive effects for the health and well-being of nearby communities.
