John Pitts

Born in Dorset in 1947 and living in Pakefield for some 50 years plus - since 1969.

Happily married (52 years) I have a Lowestoft born wife and two grown up sons both educated here in Pakefield and living and working locally.

A qualified gas fitter, 14 years in the insurance industry with the Prudential Assurance Company Ltd, culminating with over 20 years in the holiday industry here at Pontins of Pakefield (6 years as personnel manager) span some of the years of my working life.

A qualified football coach & member of Suffolk County Football Association Council and a custodian of S.C.F.A benevolent fund, any spare time is spent working for the development of grass roots football – youth and adult - and inclusion for all in the community.

Projects completed – Football Foundation Funding:Walmer Road Installation 2003 and 2012 of two 3rd generation floodlit football pitches and changing block.

Founder of Pakefield Boys F.C in 1981, founder (now President) of the Norfolk & Suffolk Youth Football League (1982)

I consider representing the ward of Pakefield a real honour, and although lots to learn with regard to council procedures. I would hope to assist in resolving problems, help identify and encourage an unbiased approach to the real needs of Lowestoft helping to ensure a future for generations to come.
