I am a Councillor for Kirkley Ward and I am not affiliated with any party. I like to tell people my party is “Lowestoft”. Although I spent much of my life outside of Lowestoft, I have deep family ties here. I like to say that I wasn’t born here in town, but I got here as fast as I could. My home is in the centre of Kirkley and I'm a member of the Kirkley Business Association and have volunteered at various community projects, always with the goal of improving the day to day life of our residents by making our town a better place to live, work and raise our families. My interests in art, architecture and urban planning are a foundation for my interest in our council planning decisions and managing our conservation district and seafront. My professional expertise and experience in design, technology, education and public policy are useful tools as we try to create practical policy solutions for Lowestoft and chart a path forward. This paragraph if full of “I” statements and is “all about me”, but serving as your Councillor is really all about “we”. WE need to pull together to bring out the best of Lowestoft, and with that goal in mind, I welcome all suggestions, opinions, and guidance. I can be reached at my Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/TaylorforKirkley/ or at my council email.
